💭 Are you stuck in a familiar cycle of convincing yourself that you don’t have a problem with overeating - that you’re healthy - and that you can lose weight “whenever you feel like it”
🙋🏻♂️ Yeah well, that was me too! Once upon a time.
👀 It’s only when I reflect on myself that I realise how much I buried my head in the sand continually telling myself lies to make myself more comfortable with the size I was.
👨⚕️ My background as a nurse in A&E only compounded this issue. I was surrounded by unhealthy people and, because I was treating them, I saw myself as the healthy one. I wasn’t like the sixty year old type two diabetic who had come in with chest pain. I was, surely, too young & too “medically aware” for it to get that bad.
❌ It simply didn’t register that I was 22st - ate too much & moved too little. It didn’t register that I was in a cycle of being too tired to exercise…but I was tired because I was obese.
🧠 Weight loss starts in the mind. It starts with a proper realisation that you are obese, that you aren’t healthy, that you are struggling to move the way you’d like to.
✅ Only THEN can you make the conscious decision to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
❌ Stop telling yourself the same old story!

💭 Honestly, if you had told me several years ago (when I was overweight) that I’d be doing this for fun - I’d have told you you were mental!
💪 But, when you give your body the best chance of thriving - it really can do mental things….like scramble up a mountain!
